How to Make Time to Turn Your Dreams Into a Reality

Alarm goes off.

You hit snooze.

Alarm goes off again.

You hit snooze.

Alarm goes off for the third time, you finally drag your bones out of bed to begin your morning routine.

The morning routine of getting ready to go to another grueling day of work in a job that you don’t hate necessarily, but a job that doesn’t fulfill your soul, a job that leaves you empty, wanting more.

As a Photographer from Perth who use to be a mechanic, i knew this feeling all too well.

You go to work, you’re at work, not motivated, daydreaming of something more, wishing, hoping, praying.

The clock hits 4pm, you’re counting down every second until the clock ticks over to 5pm, you can’t wait, you’re ready to make your escape.

You get home, tired, exhausted, no energy to do much at all, ready for bed, just to dream of something more.

We all want something more because we all become dissatisfied with the mundane routine we call a career we have been programmed to slave for.

Because of that extreme feeling of dissatisfaction we are internally motivated to change our current situation to take us to that better place we dream of every night.

Problem is time, we believe we don’t have enough time between our job and commitments to work on our passion projects, our dreams and turn them into a reality.

That’s a lie we tell ourselves, an excuse we give ourselves too often which is at no fault of our own.

I believed the same lie, it was the story of my life for years, but I grew weary of the lies, I didn’t like how the lies made me feel, the negative thoughts and emotions about life and myself.

So, I stopped listening to the lies, I stopped making the excuses and decided to just focus on being passionate about what I’m passionate about.

I eventually escaped my routine, it wasn’t easy, but I escaped which has led me on a journey of growth within my passions and fulfilling my dreams.

Here’s how I did it.

Write It All Down… ALL OF IT!

Do you believe in the law of attraction?

If you don’t, you should because this is the start of how you make time to turn your dreams into a reality.

The law of attraction is a magnetic power of the universe that draws similar energies together. It’s a manifestation through the power of creation, everywhere and in many ways.

By writing down your passions and what you want to do with your life that includes those passions activates the law of attraction.

You begin to attract the thoughts, ideas, people, situations and circumstances that move you closer and closer to turning your dreams into a reality.

You hold yourself accountable, it’s all been written down, you have made a commitment to yourself and the universe to achieve those things and therefore you have to remain consistent with the commitment.

Your priorities start to change, you start spending more time working towards your dreams and not wasting it on things that breed complacency and stagnation.

You won’t realise it at first, but one day you’ll look back on the words you wrote and smile.

Now you just have to give the universe what it wants now… The work

Start Before the Dawn

There’s 24 useful hours in every day.

But most of us enjoy hitting the snooze button so we can prolong the torture of getting up for work as much as possible.

If you wake up just an hour earlier, two if you want to really build momentum you will be surprised at how much you can accomplish.

When you wake up an hour or two before the rest of the world it eliminates all the distractions you encounter during the day.

There’s not text messages, phone calls, emails, Instagram notifications… nothing.

The world is silent, peaceful, there’s nothing but you, time and opportunity.

You now have the time to focus and cause some serious damage in doing the things you need to move you closer towards your dreams before the responsibilities of the office and home hit you.

The hours after you wake up are truly precious because your brain is in one of its most creative states of minds.

Use it wisely.

Wake up early, start your day before the rest of the world, focus and get things done then let me know how you feel after, let me know how your days feel.

I can promise you it will feel good.

That’s the universe’s reward for giving it the work.

Work Into the Night

The time between finishing work and going to be every night is yours to do whatever you want.

How you spend the precious time you have before you go to bed is a direct reflection on the value you place on the most important things in life.

But I get it, you’re tired, you’ve worked a long day, you have no energy left… But how badly do you want it?

Committing 5 hours, 7pm-12pm after you finish work to pursue something passionate to you will significantly move you forward, improve your well- being and self- worth.

It’s going to be hard at first, but you need to abandon the nasty habit of being a slob on the couch and develop a rewarding habit of utilising time effectively.

Finding a balance and committing time, attention and energy to the tasks that need your focus is possible if you really want to turn your dreams into a reality.

The trick is to turn time management into a habit!

Changing what you do every night after work can be life and career-changing.

This is The End

Do something for you every day!

That’s how you make time to turn your dreams into a reality.

It doesn’t matter if you succeed or fail, your success isn’t defined by what others say, all that matters is that you tried your best.

The simple fact of taking action is often overlooked, but even the best idea is nothing without action.

Make a commitment to make time to pursue your passion project no matter how busy you are and stay absolutely consistent with it no matter what happens.

You have always had permission to create something you’re deeply passionate about.

There’s always time, you have all the time in the world.

Write it all down, spend your mornings and evenings as effectively as possible and your dreams will be a reality soon.
